Microsoft Come to their senses! Console wars are finally On!

The news we all were waiting for has finally arrived! Microsoft have announced they are dropping always online connection and used game policy…CELEBRATE!!

There is no longer any need for the always online connection and you can take your Xbox anywhere just like the 360. There will also be limitation to using and sharing your disk based games, it will work just like today, no more DRM. You can trade in, lend, resell, gift and rent disk based games just like you do on the Xbox 360. You could also choose to download games from Xbox Live on the day of release and play them offline just like you do now. Xbox One games will be playable on any console, there will be no region restrictions. The sharing of games will work as it does today, you simply share the disk. Downloaded games cannot be shared or resold. Just like today, playing disk based games will require the game to be in the tray.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

2K announces DLC for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, announcing exclusive pre-order content and post-launch DLC.

2K and 2K Marin announce plans for post-launch DLC that will see the title supported with updates beyond its August 23rd UK release date.The narrative-driven add-on content will expand the declassified origin story of the clandestine XCOM organisation and will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The first DLC pack will be available exclusively to 360 players.

PS3 Owners beware of system update!

Yesterday, Sony released a new update, 4.45, for the PlayStation 3, this update has caused many console’s on-screen navigation to disappear. Sony has advised those affected to await further instructions and a downloadable system update should soon be available.images

Please do not update your PS3 to the 4.45 firmware, as many consoles affected have not made it past the PS3 logo after installation.

Dawn of Fantasy’s Siegeworks now on Steam!

Dawn of Fantasy: Kingdom Wars’ first free expansion, Siegeworks, is now available on Steam! To celebrate, Dawn of Fantasy: Kingdom Wars is now 50% off on Steam.

Xbox’s Second Episode of The Music Room

XCOM: Enemy Unknown for iOS

2K and Firaxis Games announce that XCOM: Enemy Unknown is coming to iOS devices this Thursday, 20th June.

Taking the complete XCOM experience of the console and PC versions of the game and optimizing it for the touch interface of iOS devices. XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a universal app including GameCenter support and iCloud functionalty.

The game will be available via iTunes App Store for £13.99 for iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5th Generation. The popular head-to-head multiplayer mode in XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be added to iOS as a free update at a later date.2kg_xcomeuios_screenshot_6-17-13
