The news we all were waiting for has finally arrived! Microsoft have announced they are dropping always online connection and used game policy…CELEBRATE!!
There is no longer any need for the always online connection and you can take your Xbox anywhere just like the 360. There will also be limitation to using and sharing your disk based games, it will work just like today, no more DRM. You can trade in, lend, resell, gift and rent disk based games just like you do on the Xbox 360. You could also choose to download games from Xbox Live on the day of release and play them offline just like you do now. Xbox One games will be playable on any console, there will be no region restrictions. The sharing of games will work as it does today, you simply share the disk. Downloaded games cannot be shared or resold. Just like today, playing disk based games will require the game to be in the tray.
